Julian and Jiaxin Lloyd Webber present: Bach, Bows and Arrows!
Join us for an evening celebrating Julian Lloyd Webber’s 75th birthday and the launch of his ‘no holds barred’ autobiography Bows and Arrows.
In the first half, Julian and Jiaxin explore the extraordinary story behind Bach’s sublime Cello Suites, and why they remained unperformed for two hundred years until they were rediscovered by Pablo Casals. The second half becomes a richly illustrated musical journey through Julian’s own remarkable career, featuring live performance, personal reflections and unique video clips from the archive.
There will also be a rare chance to put your questions to both Lloyd Webbers, as they recall working with musical greats including Yehudi Menuhin, Stéphane Grappelli, Joaquín Rodrigo, Philip Glass, Elton John, Julian’s brother Andrew Lloyd Webber and many others.
An intimate and insightful evening with one of Britain’s most distinguished musicians.
Intimate. Timeless. Resonant.
